Movie Review : Miss You Like Crazy
February 25, 2010Last night, the hubby and I went on a movie date. I needed to get some fresh air because of certain situations that have recently happened in my life, so this was what I thought of.
What has been happening in my personal life has been somewhat tragic and is really affecting me emotionally and mentally. I know I should start to be productive for my kids’ sake but really, it has been a hard month for me.
Anyway, to relieve all the stress and whatnots, hubby and I went to SM Megamall last night to watch Miss You Like Crazy on its first showing day. Yup, first day! And I didn’t have to persuade the hubby too much.
Maybe, he’s secretly into the JLC-Bea loveteam? LOL.
Because of the harsh traffic yesterday (a part of EDSA was closed), we had to start the movie 20 minutes before 8pm. I was looking at the 5pm schedule originally, but thanks to traffic, that wasn’t possible. We got ourselves Wham Burgers and Onion Rings (my fave!) and proceeded to line for the tickets. It wasn’t a long line. Not what I was expecting.
We came in just at the right time. Annoying moviegoers abound the cinema, but I didn’t care. I had to make the most of the P171 ticket price, and the fact that I needed to unwind.
Bea and John Lloyd’s acting was truly convincing. You would think that you weren’t watching a Philippine movie. I really like their tandem better. (Just an opinion, fans) This movie is not like the other movies who would just send you “kilig” moments and “pa-cute” actors. This is a mature movie. Something someone can relate to and not mere hope to.
I also liked the idea of writing down your woes and feelings on stones and just leaving them. Something to save you from hurting the one you’d like to say these feelings to, or just saving yourself, period.
So for me, this movie rated 4.5 (5 being the highest). Nice one Star Cinema! Bring more please.
